Beautifully positioned in the heart of the property, Hunter Two offers one of the most captivating views on site, best enjoyed from the comfort of bed. Wake slowly and let the valley be the first thing you see.
No wifi, and no television. The room is arranged around the window instead: a wood fire you can watch without getting up, a deep stone bath, and a skylight cut over the ensuite that turns out to be the best thing in the cabin at four in the morning.
The people who made this one live nearby. Maguire + Devine are the architects, I.D Joinery did the joinery, the basins were thrown by Zsolt Faludi in Glen Huon, and the vanity is reclaimed blackwood by Matt Black Furniture. Very little of it travelled more than an hour to get here.
Two adults, or one. The queen bed is made up in Cultiver linen and faces the valley, and behind it sit a kitchenette with a cooktop and dishwasher, a private wine collection you are welcome to buy from during your stay, and a deck of your own for the part of the day you do get up.

You know that feeling when the universe is telling you it's time for a change? This is exactly how Hunter Huon Valley came to be.
After living a fast-paced lifestyle in Melbourne, we knew it was time to embark on a new adventure and set our sights on the Huon Valley in Southern Tasmania.
The Huon Valley stole our hearts with its abundance of locally grown food, wine + cider, the passionate producers and the scenic landscape.
We loved the idea of living in a rural location as this would allow us to learn to appreciate the simple things in life and ultimately live a slower paced life.
Our objective was to slow down, be present and focus on what was really important. This is the overall philosophy of Hunter Huon Valley. We encourage our guests to switch off, lose themselves in the moment, get back to nature and take the time to have a meaningful conversation. For this very reason, there are no televisions or Wi-Fi available within the cabins.
Our vision was to create a special place for people to escape and we look forward to sharing this with you.
