The most secluded of the three cabins, Hunter Three feels wonderfully tucked away amongst the landscape. With beautiful outlooks towards the Huon River, it's a peaceful hideaway designed for switching off and settling into the slower pace of life.
There is no wifi and no television, which this far into the trees is barely a decision you have to make. There is a wood fire, a deep stone bath, and a skylight above the ensuite that turns out to be the best thing in the cabin at four in the morning, with nothing but bush between you and the sky.
What is in here came from close by. The architecture is Maguire + Devine, the joinery I.D Joinery, the basins were thrown by Zsolt Faludi in Glen Huon, and the vanity is a reclaimed blackwood piece by Matt Black Furniture. Almost none of it travelled more than an hour.
It sleeps two adults, or one, which is the right number for a cabin this quiet. A queen bed with Cultiver linen, a kitchenette with a cooktop and dishwasher, a private wine collection you can buy from while you are here, and a deck of your own with the valley falling away towards the Huon River.

You know that feeling when the universe is telling you it's time for a change? This is exactly how Hunter Huon Valley came to be.
After living a fast-paced lifestyle in Melbourne, we knew it was time to embark on a new adventure and set our sights on the Huon Valley in Southern Tasmania.
The Huon Valley stole our hearts with its abundance of locally grown food, wine + cider, the passionate producers and the scenic landscape.
We loved the idea of living in a rural location as this would allow us to learn to appreciate the simple things in life and ultimately live a slower paced life.
Our objective was to slow down, be present and focus on what was really important. This is the overall philosophy of Hunter Huon Valley. We encourage our guests to switch off, lose themselves in the moment, get back to nature and take the time to have a meaningful conversation. For this very reason, there are no televisions or Wi-Fi available within the cabins.
Our vision was to create a special place for people to escape and we look forward to sharing this with you.
